    On July 8, 2021, SFA officials discovered that a food operator was engaged in illegal food processing and packaging at its premises on Admiralty Street (Admiralty Street)
    .
    The premises were not licensed to operate non-retail food business, that is, to supply food to other food retail establishments
    .
    All food was confiscated
    .
     
    On July 9, 2021, SFA officials also discovered that a retail food store on Beach Road illegally supplied the supermarket with sausages and jerky made and packaged on its premises
    .
    Although the food store was allowed to retail prepackaged food on its premises, it was not allowed to operate a non-retail food business, that is, to supply food to other food retail establishments

    The investigation revealed that the food processed and packaged by the two operators was retailed at Scarlett Supermarket

    For public health, SFA has instructed Scarlett Supermarket to stop selling these foods and remove them from shelves

    The two operators were also instructed to stop producing and selling food

    The Food Authority of Singapore advises consumers who have purchased the products involved in the case from Scarlett Supermarket not to consume them, and those who have consumed the products involved in the case and are worried about their health should seek medical treatment promptly

    According to the Food Sales Law, no one is allowed to operate food production facilities without a valid license
