National Grid Corporation ("National Grid") is preparing for
the coming era of electric vehicles.
As the UK's high-voltage grid operator, National Grids is working hard to build an "ultra-fast charging" motorway, while working with start-ups to develop an electric vehicle charging network to accelerate the adoption
of electric vehicles in the UK.
On May 17, according to British media reports, the British State Grid is currently discussing with relevant government departments and other stakeholders the possibility of building "ultra-fast charging" roads, and if it does, ultra-fast charging points
for electric vehicles will be built along the highway.
The UK National Grid proposed to install a batch of 350 kW superchargers in 50 planned locations along the highway, which can not only help electric vehicle drivers solve the emergency charging needs in 6 to 8 minutes, but also alleviate the embarrassment of low utilization of electric vehicles due to the small number of charging points
