The collaboration between Persico Marine, Pininfarina Nautical and Carkeek Design Partners is to develop a light yacht that can be converted between day sailing and regatta modes
    .

Recently, Persian Marine (Nembro, Bergamo, Italy) formed by experienced carbon fiber racing boat builders and engineers, offshore yacht designers Carkeek Design Partners (Parma de Mallorca, Spain) and Pininfarina Seachial (Turin, Italy) Presented the concept of its Persico F70 "Super Yacht" project
    .

The Persico F70 is an ultra-fast, lightweight, hydrofoil-assisted carbon fiber composite yacht designed to provide day sailors and rowers with unprecedented performance, >
    .
Said to incorporate the latest research and development (R&D) and state-of-the-art technology, the F70 series is Carkeek's answer to a dual-purpose full-hydrofoil yacht designed to provide owners with a seamless transition between day sailing and regatta mode

    .

Pininfarina Nautical has collaborated with Carkeek Design Partners on the exterior and interior design, and all composite components will be built in-house at Persico Marine shipyard, in conjunction with the company's recently developed robotics
    .

“The F70 will be an unprecedented boat,” emphasizes Shawn Carkeek, chief designer at Carkeek Design Partners
    .
“The hydrofoils from the IMOCA60 [monohull] will be assisted by lifts on the rudder blades, just like the hydrofoils on AC75s racing boats

    .
In this way the boat can reach full speed in just 10 knots of wind flight mode without staying on the downwind side of the hull

    .
What's more, the hydrofoils will be fully retractable to allow for easy docking of the F70, and the project will utilize the same CFD and VPP software used on the IMOCA and AC75

    .

To achieve this, aerodynamic studies were previously carried out to ensure superior performance, drawing on Carkeek's fluid dynamics expertise and expertise that Pininfarina Nautical has developed over the past 50 years in its wind tunnels
