In January 2022, UPL Argentina announced an update for the quarter, highlighting the launch of two new products, the herbicide Lifeline and the fungicide Goldleaf
    .

Lifeline is a glufosinate-based herbicide formulation, an international leader of UPL
    .
UPL noted that the launch of the product in Argentina "complements weed control programmes with a new tool that guarantees post-emergence tolerance to this molecule in soybeans"
    .

According to the manufacturer, the product "does not remain in the soil and therefore does not affect the next crop selected
    .
This new mode of action for soybean cultivation complements the UPL-recommended control regimen.

UPL prevents new resistance The main management tools produced are crop rotation and blended formulations of residual herbicides
    .
    "

Another product launched by UPL in Argentina this time is Goldleaf, a ternary compound, multi-site systemic foliar fungicide for soybean cultivation
    .
This product contains azoxystrobin , prothioconazole and mancozeb, and is in the form of WDG, which is easy to dissolve
    .
According to UPL, the fungicide acts on 8 sites on fungal cells (6 of which are mancozeb sites), making it an effective tool for controlling and managing diseases affecting soybean crop resistance
    .

Rodrigo Ramírez, General Manager of UPL Argentina, said: “Digital transformation and sustainability are current issues and UPL will move towards this together with producers, distributors and many other players in the product ecosystem
    .
We will learn and use Different technologies, working hard to regenerate the economy, and making long-term investments
    .
We will ultimately achieve a win-win situation
    .

Diego Gandulfo, Marketing Director of UPL Argentina, also introduced the company's new business unit, NPP (Natural Plant Protection), which brings together the company's entire portfolio of biological products and technologies
    .
"The global biosolutions business accounts for 7% of UPL's total revenue, and NPP will focus on this business
    .
The biosolutions market is expected to grow to $10 billion by 2025 to meet the demand for more sustainable food," Gandulfo said
    .

The company recently finalized a partnership with Novozymes in Argentina, where Novozymes' Nitragin-branded biological products will be packaged with UPL's biocides and sold as part of UPL's portfolio
    .
Gandulfo added: “To meet the demand for more sustainable agriculture, the bio-solutions market is growing rapidly, tripling the crop protection market, and Argentina is no exception
