A few days ago, the American optical fiber network company Zayo Group announced that the company has been selected by a large US operator to deploy a dark fiber network for it, thereby greatly expanding its service area

The network will leverage both Zayo Group's existing long-distance fiber optic network and previously announced cables
currently under construction.
The operator will use cables provided by Zayo Group to connect nine service markets
across eight states.
Through the existing network, Zayo Group is expected to achieve the largest internal rate of return (IRR) and substantial cash returns
through the agreement.
Zayo Group's long-haul dark fiber network in North America includes approximately 29,000 cables and addresses the needs
of operators, content providers, enterprises and public sector agencies for high-capacity communications infrastructure.
