Wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has received orders for compatible turbine components with a total capacity of 22 MW that meet 60% of the PTC value
of undisclosed customers.
It is initially expected that these modules will enable future wind energy projects to be completed by the
end of 2022.
Back in 2015, Congress passed the PATH Act with long-term PTC phase-out provisions, making the wind industry the first energy sector
to agree to permanent tax reform.
In addition, the United States has invested billions of dollars in wind energy investments, including domestic manufacturing and supply chains, construction, transportation, tax revenues for local communities, and tens of thousands of jobs
along the wind energy value chain.
