Vietnam is accelerating the construction of renewable energy projects

Central Ninh Thuan province in Vietnam is reportedly speeding up the construction of renewable energy projects to generate electricity
as planned.
Of the 16 wind power projects in the Power Development Master Plan approved by the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, 12 have obtained licenses with a total capacity of more than 748 MW and a total registered capital of more than VND

5 trillion.

There are also 29 solar power projects in the master plan, of which 12 have a total capacity of 968MW and a total registered capital of more than VND
27.
8 trillion.

It is planned that more than 82MW of wind power from the Mue Dinh and Trung Nam plants will be added to
the national grid in the second phase of Dam Nai.

According to the provincial people's committee, three renewable energy projects and national transmission companies have reached agreements
for power generation.
Meanwhile, 22 projects have signed agreements with Southern Power and 11 other renewable energy projects have signed power purchase contracts
with Vietnam Electric Power.

The chairman of the committee said that the development of renewable energy is one of the
important breakthroughs in local socio-economic development.
