    Vietnam reportedly plans to build the country's largest solar power plant

    Construction began June 8 in Vietnam's Ninh Thuan province, the largest solar power plant with a capacity of 168 MW and a total investment of about VND 440 billion (US$194 million).

    Once operational in June 2019, the plant will supply more than 200 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year to the national grid, the investor said, the Singapore-based investment company, called CMX RE Sunseap Vietnam

    Nearly three dozen Vietnamese and foreign investors have been approved to build a solar power plant in Ninh Thuan, which has the potential to generate about 9,000 megawatts of solar power
