Vietnam's "VnExpress" reported on September 10 that according to statistics from the International Trade Center, in the first half of 2021, Britain imported 100.
3 million tons of coffee , valued at 425 million U.
    S.
    dollars.
The quantity and value of coffee dropped by 13.
    8% and 10.
9% respectively compared with the same period in 2020
    .

It is worth noting that although the UK has increased its imports of coffee from its main supply markets, coffee imports from Vietnam and Honduras have both fallen sharply
    .
Britain imported 16,400 tons of coffee from Vietnam, valued at 29 million U.
    S.
dollars, and the quantity and value of coffee dropped by 48.
    4% and 49.
3% compared with the same period in 2020
    .
The share of Vietnamese coffee in the total UK coffee imports has dropped from 27.
    32% to 16.
    35%
    .
The main reason is that Vietnam’s current coffee exports are still mainly green coffee or rough processed coffee, while the type of coffee consumption in the UK is mainly instant coffee
    .
Therefore, in addition to meeting the increasingly stringent regulatory requirements of the British market in the future, the Vietnamese coffee industry must comply with the consumption habits of local residents in order to gain a larger market share
