    Vietnam's exports of durian to China have soared

    Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development revealed that Vietnam's durian was approved to be exported to the Chinese market through regular trade channels, and one month later, Vietnam's exports of such products to China increased by nearly 40 times
    year-on-year.
     
    Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said Vietnam's exports of durian to China soared
    after the signing of the protocol on phytosanitary requirements for Vietnamese durian exported to China.
    In October alone, Vietnam's durian exports to China reached nearly $50 million, a year-on-year increase of 4.
    12%.

    In 2022, Vietnam exported a total of 30,000 tons
    of durian to the Chinese market.
     
    Vietnam became the second country
    after Thailand to receive official market access for fresh durian in China.
    This will create more room for Vietnam's strong durian plantation industry and improve the income of hundreds of thousands of
    farmers in the Xiyuan, southeast and Kowloon River Delta regions.
     
    According to the Plantation Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, by the end of 2021, Vietnam's national durian production reached about 642,600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 15%.

    Durian is the 11th fruit
