According to SeafoodMedia on October 20, Vietnam's total exports of pangasius to ASEAN are almost equivalent to exports to the European Union, and ASEAN's main markets include Thailand, the Philippines and Singapore
    .

As of the end of September 2022, Vietnam's pangasius exports to ASEAN countries exceeded US$152 million, accounting for nearly 8%
    of total exports.

Vietnamese pangasius exports to Thailand accounted for 3.
6% of the total value, and as of the third quarter of this year, Vietnamese pangasius exports to Thailand exceeded US$70 million, an increase of 81% year-on-year, and the import value of September alone increased by 165%
    year-on-year.

The most notable growth in September was in the Philippine market, where exports of Vietnamese pangasius exceeded US$25 million as of the end of the third quarter, up 92% year-on-year, accounting for 1.
3% of the total, and exports in September increased fivefold year-on-year
    .

Singapore, Vietnam's second-largest export market for pangasius in ASEAN, exported more than US$28 million to it in the first nine months of this year, up 56% year-on-year, and more than
    tripled in September.

In the first three quarters of this year, Vietnamese pangasius exports to Malaysia and the Philippines exceeded US$26 million, an increase of 114% year-on-year, and exports in September increased by 138%
    year-on-year.

Other ASEAN countries such as Cambodia, Indonesia and Laos are inclined to significantly increase Vietnamese pangasius imports, with growth rates of 3 to 23 times
higher than in the same period in 2021.

The rise in transportation costs is a disadvantage for the pangasius export industry as its selling price is not high
    compared to other seafood.
Vietnamese pangasius exporters are taking advantage of the geographical location of the ASEAN market to reduce transportation costs and increase export efforts to increase export earnings
