Vietnam's " Customs Online" reported on June 27 that it is expected that Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports will still face many difficulties in the third quarter of this year, and will not improve until the fourth quarter of this year
    .
However, the Ministry of Industry and Trade estimates that this year's fruit and vegetable exports can still reach the target set at the beginning of the year, with an export value of approximately US$3.
    5-3.
    6 billion
    .

According to statistics from the Vietnam Agricultural Products Processing and Market Development Agency (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development), in the first five months of this year, the export of fruits and vegetables was US$1.
    77 billion, a year-on-year increase of 18%
    .
China is Vietnam's largest fruit and vegetable export market, with an export market share of over 60%
    .
From January to the end of April this year, the most exported fruit and vegetable product was dragon fruit, which reached US$455.
    1 million (accounting for 33.
2% of total fruit and vegetable exports), a year-on-year increase of 7.

In the first five months of this year, imports of fruits and vegetables were estimated at US$577 million, a year-on-year increase of 21.

    .
In the first four months of this year, China, the United States and Myanmar are the three largest fruit and vegetable supply markets in Vietnam
    .
In the first four months of this year, imports of fruits and vegetables from China increased by 54.
4%, imports from the United States fell by 0.
5%, and imports from Myanmar increased by 34.

According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, Asia is still the main export market for Vietnam's fruits and vegetables, accounting for more than 85% of the total exports of fruits and vegetables
    .
The Chinese market is still the focus market, followed by South Korea, Japan and ASEAN markets
    .
Exporting fruits and vegetables to these markets has many advantages such as large market scale and consumption power, similar consumption habits, and convenient transportation
    .
In addition, due to the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA), most of the import duties on fruit and vegetable products from Vietnam have been reduced to 0%
    .

For the European and American markets, according to the tariff commitments in the new generation of free trade agreements such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership Comprehensive Progress Agreement (CPTPP) and the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), most fresh and processed fruits and vegetables products will be completely tax-free after the FTA takes effect
    .
With the small proportion of Vietnamese fruit and vegetable products in these markets and a large room for growth, these trade agreements have brought new opportunities for Vietnamese fruit and vegetable products to open up the market
