Munich-based Wacker will present a new polymer binder for the modified use of water wall gypsum at the European International
Coatings Show
(ECS) in Nuremberg from April 21 to 23, 2015. The product, called VINNAPAS®Wayneshi®4800G, enables gypsum-based seam mortar to have excellent stretch bonding strength on plasterboards and butt straps. This new re-dispersable latex powder-modified sewing mortar also offers excellent processing performance and is easier to flatten. In addition, the latex powder has low emissions and is ideal for interior decoration with seam fillers and flat mortar. WACKER will also exhibit SILRES and BS POWDER S, which can be used for water repugnation of ®-based dry mortar. This highly efficient powdered product contains a small amount of volatile organic matter and can be quickly mixed with water without lifting dust.

Exhibition, a polymer binder that meets the special requirements of modern water wall applications for gypsum-based seam fillers. Today, water walls are popular for their ease of construction and speed, and polymer binders are an important component in finding flat mortar and seam fillers because they give plaster mortar the necessary stability, adhesion and flexibility.
VINNAPAS® Vivenas®4800G re-dispersable latex powder is a product based on ethylene acetate and ethylene developed specifically for improving the performance of gypsum-based seam fillers. This new latex powder can significantly improve the adhesion of sewing mortar on plasterboards and reinforcement strips; Reinforced strips made of paper, fiberglass or special nonwovens are embedded in the seams and, when smoothed together, improve the stability of the seams and prevent cracks from creating.
This polyethylene alcohol-stable powdered product delivers excellent performance, both manually and machined, is smoother and easier to apply, and allows the surface to be particularly smooth and smooth without cracks when flattened and cured. VINNAPAS®Weenery®4800G does not contain plasticizers and can be used to make low-emission final products, making it ideal for improving interior decoration seam fillers and finding environmentally friendly gypsum-based dry mortar for flat mortar.
SILRES®BS POWDER S: Gypsum dry mixed mortar with high-efficiency water repugnant moisture can cause permanent damage to the strength of gypsum building materials. In order to avoid this phenomenon and to protect the solidified gypsum mortar from moisture erosion, dry mixed mortar is usually mixed with powdery water repugnants. Therefore, manufacturers of conventional powdered water repugnants must use carriers or ensealed materials as additives when processing liquid active ingredients in repugnants into powders. However, these additives delay the water repulsion effect of liquid water repugnants until the gypsum mortar mixed with water solidifies. Another drawback of these additives is that they are almost entirely made up of carrier materials, and the true active ingredients are only a few percentages of weight - which is not ideal in terms of product weight or cost.
SILRES ® BS POWDER S solves this problem well. This new dry-mixed mortar additive, which does not contain any additional additives, is made up entirely of a new powdered active ingredient and is therefore extremely effective: SILRES®BS POWDER S is only 0.2 percent weight and makes gypsum building materials water repugnant. After solidification, the gypsum can be up to 90% water repugnant, making it equally suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, stairs or underground garages. The plaster-based plaster, seam fillers and adhesives made from it are suitable for any interior space in a home building.
SILRES ® BS POWDER S is made of methyl silicone, which is made into a liquid colorless powder by a special process. The above active ingredients are excellent for mixing because of their water solubility, but after solidification, the gypsum mortar is immediately water repugnant. SILRES®BS POWDER S can be applied to a variety of pH gypsum dry mixed mortar, thus saving the usual pre-reaction time required for ordinary powdered water repugnants. Gypsum fillers made with this additive can even meet the requirements of the highest level of water-absorbing fill material: according to DIN EN 13963:2014, which was revised last year, H1 leveling mortar must not absorb more than 5 percentages of water after solidification.
