CLIPPERS (steroid hormone-responsive chronic lymphocytic inflammation with peripons perivascular enhancement) is a chronic central nervous system (CNS) inflammatory disease of unknown etiology.
The disease was first reported in 2010, and its characteristic manifestations are punctate and curved enhancement lesions in the hindbrain that are responsive to steroids.
Yimaitong compiles and organizes, please do not reprint without authorization.
Since the first report, many other diseases such as myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody-related diseases, primary central nervous system vasculitis (PACNS), primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) Equals may mimic the clinical and imaging features of CLIPPERS.
In view of the many similarities between CLIPPERS and mimics, identifying the characteristics of mimics is particularly important for the differential diagnosis of CLIPPERS.
Some studies have proposed red flags that do not support CLIPPERS to assist in the differential diagnosis.
See Table 1 for details.
