National Hazardous Waste ListArticle 1 This list is formulated in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste.
Article 1 This list is formulated in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste.
Article 2 Solid wastes (including liquid wastes) with one of the following conditions are included in this list:
(1) It has one or more dangerous characteristics such as corrosiveness, toxicity, flammability, reactivity, or infectiousness;
(1) It has one or more dangerous characteristics such as corrosiveness, toxicity, flammability, reactivity, or infectiousness;(2) It is not ruled out that it has hazardous characteristics, may cause harmful effects on the environment or human health, and needs to be managed in accordance with hazardous waste.

Article 3 Medical waste is classified as hazardous waste.
Article 4 The chemicals listed in the "Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals" are hazardous wastes after they are discarded.
Article 5 Hazardous wastes listed in the "Hazardous Wastes Exemption Management List" in the appendix to this list may be exempted from management in accordance with the provisions of the exemption content when the listed exemption links are met and the corresponding exemption conditions are met.
Article 6 The mixture of hazardous wastes and other solid wastes, as well as the determination of the attributes of wastes after hazardous waste treatment, shall be implemented in accordance with the hazardous waste identification standards prescribed by the state.
Article 7 The meanings of relevant terms in this directory are as follows:
(1) The waste category is a classification of hazardous waste based on the categories defined in the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movement of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal, combined with the actual situation in my country.

(2) Industry source refers to the industry that produces hazardous waste.
(3) Waste code refers to the unique code of hazardous waste, which is an 8-digit number.
(4) Dangerous characteristics, including Corrosivity (C), Toxicity (Toxicity, T), Flammability (Ignitability, I), Reactivity (R) and Infectivity (Infectivity, In).
Article 8 For solid wastes that are not clear whether they have hazardous characteristics, they shall be identified in accordance with the identification standards and identification methods of hazardous wastes prescribed by the state.
If the hazardous waste is identified as hazardous waste, the waste category shall be determined according to its main hazardous components and hazardous characteristics, and classified and managed according to the code "900-000-××" (×× is the code of hazardous waste category).
Article 9 This list will come into effect on August 1, 2016.
