    RNA editing is a gene editing technology that has emerged in recent years


    On February 10, 2022, Wei Wensheng's group published a long research paper " Engineered circular ADAR-recruiting RNAs increase the efficiency and fidelity of RNA editing in vitro and in vivo " in the journal Nature Biotechnology .


    Circular RNA has no 5' or 3' end, can avoid exonuclease cleavage, and has better stability and longer half-life in cells than linear RNA

    Since the substrate of ADAR protein is double-stranded RNA, the adenylate in the double-stranded region formed by targeting RNA and circ-arRNA will have different probability of deamination risk
