A few days ago, my country’s largest offshore oil and gas producer, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, announced that CNOOC’s offshore oil and gas production will exceed 65 million tons of oil and gas equivalent in 2020, a record high.

The past year has been a challenging year for the major oil companies in the world.

The industry believes that the most important point of this is that the country attaches great importance to energy security.

For this reason, increasing the intensity of oil and gas exploration and development has become the meaning of the question.

In addition, many large and medium-sized oil and gas fields have been discovered in offshore exploration in my country.

These new discoveries are inseparable from technological breakthroughs and leaps.

With the support of these technical systems, my country's offshore oil and gas exploration and development has overcome many world-class problems and achieved a series of major breakthroughs.

The relevant person in charge of CNOOC said that at present, my country has the capability and complete system to independently explore and develop offshore oil and gas resources, and has realized the leap-forward development of my country's offshore oil industry.

At the same time, various offshore oil and gas fields have increased their development efforts.
In 2020, my country’s largest offshore oil and gas production base, the Bohai Oilfield, will achieve a stable output of 30 million tons; the eastern South China Sea oilfield has set a record for the highest oil and gas output in history, exceeding the planned output at the beginning of the year by more than 1 million tons, stably ranking the second largest offshore oil and gas field in China; the South China Sea Oil and gas production in the western oilfields exceeded the plan by 740,000 tons, a record high.
