    The results of the study showed that : ( 1 ) Polygonatum genus is a monophyletic group, and it is divided into 2 branches within the genus, corresponding to the whorl group , the interleaved group + the Polygonatum group) (the left of Figure 1 ) .


    Xia Maoqin, a doctoral student of Zhejiang University, is the first author of the paper , and researcher Qiu Yingying of Wuhan Botanical Garden and Professor Si Jinping of Zhejiang Agriculture and Forestry University are co-corresponding authors
