The impact of the RoHS directive.
The Council of the European Union and the European Parliament recently proposed a directive on prohibiting the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (referred to as RoHS), including household appliances, toys, IT and communications and lighting equipment, leisure and power equipment, and vending machines, etc.
The use of certain toxic and hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment such as lead, mercury, cadmium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers has been restricted.
It is stipulated that starting from July 1 this year, when relevant electrical and electronic products enter the EU market, the content of hazardous substances mentioned in the RoHS directive shall not exceed the relevant regulatory requirements, in response to the EU directive China RoHS-"Electrical Information Product Pollution Control" The Management Measures have also been officially promulgated and will be implemented on March 1 next year.
