Li Jianlin, director of the Energy Storage Research Office of the Institute of Electrical Engineering and New Materials of the China Electric Power Research Institute, introduced that battery energy storage power stations are an important element of the smart grid, which can participate in grid frequency regulation, improve the power supply level of the large power grid, adjust the load curve, cut peaks and fill valleys, and improve the utilization rate
of power distribution equipment and lines.
