    "The organ regeneration capacity of callus" has always been one of the core scientific issues in the field of plant regeneration.


    The author first performed single-cell sequencing on the callus produced from the hypocotyl of Arabidopsis thaliana and confirmed that the callus is similar to the root primordium or root tip meristem and can be roughly divided into three layers: the outer layer of cells is similar to the root tip.


    Based on the above results, the author speculates on the principle that callus has the ability to regenerate organs
