    In addition to the high-abundance ground state conformation (Ground States) with lower free energy, RNA in solution often also has low-abundance excited state conformation (Excited States, also known as transient conformation) with high free energy


    In this study, the authors used the RNA secondary structure prediction tool MC-Fold, through a series of design strategies and screening conditions, to obtain four types of RNAs that autonomously switch secondary structures in different ways
