【Chemical Machinery and Equipment Network Star Enterprise】Recently, Yokogawa announced that it has been selected by Shell as the main automation contractor (MAC) to build the Dutch hydrogen I plant
in the port of Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The Dutch Hydrogen I plant will use electricity from offshore wind farms to produce renewable hydrogen and is expected to be the largest renewable hydrogen plant
in Europe once operational in 2025.
As a MAC, Yokogawa will optimize plant operations
by integrating its systems and equipment.

The Dutch hydrogen I plant will have a 200 megawatt (MW) electrolyzer and will produce up to 60,000 kilograms of green hydrogen
    per day.
The green hydrogen produced at the plant will be piped to Shell's Energy and Chemical Park in Rotterdam, replacing some of the grey hydrogen used in the refinery to cut down the CO2 produced during the
production of energy products such as gasoline, diesel and jet fuel at the plant.

Koji Nakaoka, Yokogawa's vice president and head of the Energy & Sustainability Business Headquarters and Global Sales Headquarters, said, "Our company's goal is to play a leading role
in a world where systems are tightly integrated, based on the concept of System of Systems.
In the hydrogen supply chain, there are separate systems for production, pipeline transportation, storage, and supply, each owned by a different entity
    .
By participating in projects that help customers realize their decarbonization strategies and add value to their companies, Yokogawa will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society
    .
