On December 28 , Zhejiang Natural Gas Trading Market Co.

The company is led by Zheneng Group and jointly invested and established by Zheneng Capital Holdings, Zhejiang Oil Center, CNOOC, ENN Holdings, Zheneng Natural Gas Group and Shanghai Petroleum and Natural Gas Trading Center.

"The establishment of the Zhejiang natural gas trading market will further accelerate the development of the natural gas trading market in our province, boost the transformation and upgrading of the natural gas market in Zhejiang Province, build a multi-level natural gas trading system, form an influential natural gas price index, and strive to build a national natural gas system.

It is reported that the Zhejiang natural gas trading market is expected to achieve a natural gas trade volume of 3 billion cubic meters in 2021 , and a completed natural gas transaction volume of 6 billion yuan.
It is estimated that the transaction volume will exceed 60 billion yuan in the next five years .
“In the future, the Zhejiang Natural Gas Trading Market will build the largest natural gas trading center in East China, helping Putuo to form a 100 billion-level energy settlement scale, and vigorously promoting the construction of a regional energy trade and consumption settlement center.
” said the relevant person in charge of the Putuo Comprehensive Affairs Center of the Pilot Free Trade Zone .
