Recently, the 300 MW photovoltaic power station in Punjab Province, Pakistan, invested and constructed by ZTE Energy Co.
, Ltd.
, was officially connected to the grid for power generation
.
300 MW connected to the grid, the annual power generation can reach 480 million kWh, which can solve the daily electricity
consumption of at least 200,000 households in Pakistan.
The day of grid connection was the second day of Ramadan in Pakistan, bringing long-awaited clean electricity
to the Pakistani people in the heat and heat.
With more than 20 years of globalization experience in more than 170 overseas countries, ZTE Group actively participates in the construction of
the "Belt and Road".
ZTE Energy's Pakistan photovoltaic power station project is one of the priority implementation projects of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor that witnessed the start of
construction during General Secretary Xi Jinping's state visit to Pakistan in April 2015.
The project is located in Jinnah Photovoltaic Industrial Park, Bahawalpur City, Punjab Province, Pakistan, covering an area of 4,500 acres with a total scale of 900 MW, and will become the world's largest single photovoltaic power generation project after completion, providing nearly 1.
3 billion kWh of clean electricity every year, greatly alleviating
Pakistan's power shortage.
The total investment of the project exceeds US$1.
5 billion, with syndicated loans provided by the Export-Import Bank of China, China Development Bank, Bank of Jiangsu and Bohai Bank, overseas investment insurance underwritten by China Export and Credit Insurance Corporation, and guarantee support
provided by China Cooperation Guarantee and other institutions.
Since the launch of the project, with the support and guarantee of the Chinese and Pakistani governments, ZTE Energy has promoted the project construction with a high standard of "China speed", completed 50 MW grid-connected power generation 90 days after the start of large-scale construction, and recently completed all 300 MW grid-connected, creating the first energy project in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor to complete financing and the first to complete grid-connected power generation, leading the construction
of "Belt and Road" international projects.
ZTE Energy's construction of photovoltaic power stations not only provides clean electricity for Pakistan, which is short of electricity, but also creates more than 3,000 local jobs and skills training
during the construction of the project.
The project was implemented to train a large number of technical engineers
for Pakistan, which lacks experience in the photovoltaic industry.
After the completion of the power station, 80% of the operation and maintenance personnel are local engineers
.
The construction of the power station overcame the unfavorable factors such as high temperature and heat, rainy season, Ramadan and lack of industrial workers, efficient construction operations, integrated coordination of sea, land and air logistics, and finally built a large-scale and vibrant "light energy oasis"
in the desert area of southern Punjab.
The successful connection of the project to the grid is an important milestone for the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and will inject a steady stream of strong impetus
into China-Pakistan friendship.
