High-pressure microfluidic homogenization can solubilize myofibrillar proteins in water
Time of Update: 2022-08-30
At 15000psi (103MPa), the high-pressure microfluidic homogenization technology can induce the suspension of MPs with small particle size (subfilament, oligomer or monomer structure) and high absolute zeta potential, thereby improving their solubility, flowability and stability , without the need for individual protein degradation .

Detergents and Chaotropes for Protein Solubilization before Two-Dimensional Electrophoresis
Time of Update: 2021-03-12
These problems arise mainly in the extraction and isoelectric focusing steps, and solutions are sought to improve protein solubility under the conditions prevailing during isoelectric focusing.
These solutions deal mainly with chaotropes and new detergents, which are both able to enhance protein solubility.

Solubilization and Assay of Cellular and Tissue Protein
Time of Update: 2020-11-29
The Bio-Rad (Hercules, CA) assay, based on the method of Bradford ( 1 ), is faster, but is not able to tolerateSDS although it can tolerate β-mercaptoethanol.
In contrast the bicinchoninic acid (BCA) assay ( 2 ) has greater linear range, and has greater tolerance for SDS but not β-mercaptoethanol.
