China Greenlights Formal Operation of Southern Power Market

China approved the formal operation of its southern regional power market to expand electricity trading and renewable integration. China Southern Power Grid reported daily volumes reaching 4 terawatt-hours with settlement periods shortened to 15 minutes to better suit wind and solar output.
