On March 29, ENN Holdings and ENN Energy separately signed 20-year LNG long-term supply agreements with Energy Transfer LP, securing annual LNG supplies of 1.8 million tons and 0.9 million tons respectively, with deliveries commencing in 2026. On April 6, ENN LNG (a subsidiary of ENN Holdings) signed a 20-year LNG sales and purchase agreement with Rio Grande LNG (a subsidiary of NextDecade), securing an annual supply of 1.5 million tons. On June 6, China Gas Group’s wholly owned subsidiary, China Gas Hongda Energy Trading Co., Ltd., signed an LNG sales and purchase agreement with Energy Transfer LNG Export, LLC (a subsidiary of Energy Transfer LP). Under the agreement, Energy Transfer LNG will deliver 0.7 million tons of LNG annually to China Gas on an FOB (Free On Board) basis via the Lake Charles LNG project, for a term of 25 years. On July 5, China Gas Group announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, China Gas Hongda Energy Trading, had signed a 20-year LNG sales and purchase agreement with Rio Grande LNG (a subsidiary of NextDecade), securing an annual supply of 1 million tons, with first deliveries expected to begin in 2027. On July 20, Cheniere Energy—the largest U.S. LNG producer and exporter—announced that its subsidiary, Cheniere Energy International Sales Company, had entered into a long-term LNG sales and purchase agreement with PetroChina International Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation). Under the agreement, PetroChina International has committed to purchasing up to approximately 1.8 million tons of LNG annually from Cheniere Energy on an FOB basis. Deliveries will commence in 2026, ramp up to the full 1.8 million tons per year by 2028, and continue through 2050. Half of this volume—approximately 0.9 million tons per year—is contingent upon Cheniere making a positive final investment decision to expand its Corpus Christi LNG export terminal in Texas. On November 21, Sinopec signed a 27-year LNG long-term sales and purchase agreement with QatarEnergy. QatarEnergy will supply Sinopec with 4 million tons of LNG annually. This is Sinopec’s second long-term LNG agreement with QatarEnergy—and the first such agreement tied to Qatar’s North Field Expansion Project—marking the longest-ever natural gas supply agreement in the history of the LNG industry. On November 29, QatarEnergy and ConocoPhillips signed a long-term LNG sales and purchase agreement in Doha, Qatar. Starting in 2026, Qatar will supply Germany with 2 million tons of LNG annually for at least 15 years—a move intended to help Germany offset reduced pipeline gas imports from Russia.
