Japan's Ammonia Co-firing Power Generation Plan Advances

JERA aims to launch 20% ammonia-coal co-firing at its Hekinan plant by 2029, the world's first large-scale commercial application. The $4 billion project imports low-carbon ammonia from the US with government subsidies.
