Market cap figures were calculated using closing stock prices and exchange rates as of September 6, 2025. This marks the ninth consecutive year Coatings Industry has published the list—and the first time it has expanded to include 30 companies. The list reveals that only five firms surpassed $10 billion in market capitalization this year: Sherwin-Williams, Asian Paints, PPG Industries, Nippon Paint, and AkzoNobel. Sherwin-Williams retained the global No. 1 position with a market cap of $92.86 billion—a 2.02% year-on-year increase. Asian Paints and PPG ranked second and third globally, with market caps of $28.03 billion and $24.82 billion, respectively—down 26.62% and 14.74% year-on-year.
