Southern Company Unit Signs Deal with Google to Add Nuclear Capacity

Southern Company's Georgia Power unit signed a deal with Google to upgrade two nuclear plants, adding 96 megawatts of capacity to meet surging data center demand. The project aims to provide carbon-free power with customer benefits of $900 million.
