What specific actions did Trump announce regarding the Strait of Hormuz and Iran?

Trump announced the reinstatement of a U.S. naval blockade on Iran and declared that the U.S. would charge a 20% fee on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz to reimburse itself for 'all costs necessary to do the job of providing safety and security' in the region; he also stated the U.S. would 'become the guardian of the strait'—calling it the 'guardian angel of the strait'—and that this process would begin immediately.

What was Iran's stated condition for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and how did it respond to U.S. military presence?

Iran said passage through the Strait of Hormuz remained suspended and that permits would only be issued once 'stability and calm' were restored; its Revolutionary Guards stated that the only way to restore regular shipping traffic was to end U.S. military interventions in the waterway and warned that 'continued interference could lead to greater incidents in the global oil and gas sector.'
