What did Trump say about the timeline for a US-Iran memorandum of understanding, and what key condition did Iran tie to it?

Trump told ABC News that a memorandum of understanding with Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz could be reached 'over the next week', and said discussions with Iran were continuing 'at a rapid pace'. Iran, however, insisted that a ceasefire in Lebanon must be part of that memorandum of understanding.

How did Netanyahu respond to Trump’s reported intervention, and what did he state publicly about Israel’s military operations in Lebanon?

Netanyahu publicly stated that Israel’s position in Lebanon 'remains unchanged' and that its military would 'continue to operate as planned in southern Lebanon'; he added Israel would refrain from hitting 'terrorist targets' in Beirut only if Hezbollah stopped firing on Israeli cities. His office declined to comment on the Axios report that Trump had sworn at him and accused him of ingratitude.
