UK Watchdog Starts Review of Akzo Nobel’s Planned Axalta Acquisition

The UK Competition and Markets Authority has launched a review of Akzo Nobel's proposed acquisition of Axalta Coating Systems. A decision on proceeding to a Phase 2 investigation is expected by November 11, with completion targeted for late 2026 or early 2027.
