US to Spend Billions to Power Army Bases With Nuclear Reactors

The US Army plans to invest $2.2 billion to deploy microreactors at five bases under the Janus Program, aiming to boost nuclear industry capacity and grid resilience by 2028. Five suppliers including Westinghouse and BWXT Technologies have been selected for the initiative.
