Tent begins laying the German section of the NordLink submarine cable

German and Dutch transmission system operator (TSO) Tent TenneT said it has begun laying its NordLink submarine cable section in the German North Sea. NordLink is the first interconnected system to connect the German and Norwegian grids and is seen as highly complementary to the exchange of renewable energies, as wind and solar farms in Germany and hydroelectric plants in Norway can serve as an "energy pool" for imported energy from Germany.
