Avantium and Sojitz Pla-Net have formed a strategic partnership to promote bio-based PEF and FDCA in Japan, coinciding with the startup of Avantium’s first commercial FDCA plant in the Netherlands.
Avantium has finished commissioning all major units at its Dutch FDCA plant, targeting first production batches in late 2026 and commercial sales thereafter for its renewable polymer feedstock.
