This sounds commendable and uncontroversial, fully aligned with international trends. Yet consider former U.S. President Trump: he opposes such initiatives—for example, by canceling EV subsidies—revealing his policy stance on new energy and carbon emissions. Such governmental policy shifts inevitably prompt enterprises to adjust their investment strategies, thereby influencing corporate development strategies. As a world-class energy company, BP must still assess its strategic direction within the broader global context.
