Step Three: Verify certifications—don’t fall for supplier claims. Require suppliers to provide specific certification documents and test reports. Don’t rely solely on the term “biodegradable.” Truly compliant products must clearly state the required degradation environment, timeframe, and the applicable testing standard number.
