Renewable energy is poised to become a highly attractive investment sector once again. In recent years, renewable energy has experienced robust global growth. Accommodative monetary policies in advanced economies lowered financing costs for power projects; meanwhile, technological maturity and expanded production scales have driven down prices for solar panels and wind turbines—leading to a continuous decline in the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCoE) for renewable energy projects.
