First, maintaining high-pressure anti-corruption momentum—ensuring every case of corruption is investigated, regardless of retirement status—and continuing to crack down on disciplinary violations and lawbreaking across the SOE system; Second, improving central-SOE governance structures—tightening institutional constraints to better protect state assets and prevent their loss; Third, standardizing central-SOEs’ operational and decision-making behaviors in critical sectors like energy, thereby promoting more compliant and stable development; Fourth, fostering a clean, fair, and transparent business environment—enabling central SOEs to serve as stabilizing 'ballast stones' in safeguarding national energy security and ensuring industrial chain resilience. However, news of an executive’s investigation does not automatically trigger sustained declines in the petrochemical sector. From a short-term perspective, the announcement may exert some emotional pressure on the oil & gas and petrochemical sectors.
