Viridis Halts Biobased Ethyl Acetate Plant

Viridis Chemical halted construction of its nearly completed biobased ethyl acetate plant in Illinois, producing the solvent from corn-derived ethanol rather than fossil fuels. The project was relocated from Nebraska to improve logistical access to customers and raw materials.
