Denmark’s Ørsted and South Korea’s Namdong Electric Power (KOEN) join forces to develop the 1.4 GW Incheon offshore wind project!

In July this year, Namdong Electric Power officially unveiled its vision roadmap titled “Namdong’s 2040 New Energy Roadmap,” closely aligned with the South Korean government’s energy policy direction. Under this vision, Namdong Electric Power will actively support and advance the South Korean government’s energy policies, restructuring its business around low-carbon and zero-carbon energy sources—including renewables and hydrogen—to achieve a total installed capacity of 24,000 MW by 2040. It aims to create 500,000 new jobs for workers aged 20–40 and boost household income through a KRW 380 billion (approx. RMB 1.922 billion) photovoltaic + wind energy pension program.
