What did Zelenskyy say about Ukraine's compliance with the alleged 'energy ceasefire' and Russia's actions following Trump's announcement?

Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine had refrained from striking Russian energy infrastructure since Trump’s Sunday announcement and was ready to honor an energy ceasefire as 'a good first step' toward ending the war; however, he emphasized that Russia violated it hours after Trump’s claim by attacking a Kharkiv power plant, a gas production facility, and a civilian gas station — calling Ukraine 'horribly surprised' and questioning Putin’s willingness to uphold it, clarifying that an energy ceasefire means 'they don’t attack our energy infrastructure and we don’t respond on their energy infrastructure.'

How did Trump and the Kremlin respond to reports of continued Russian strikes after his 'energy ceasefire' announcement?

Trump insisted at the White House that an energy ceasefire was in place, claiming 'they agreed' because 'I said they agree,' and when pressed on Russian violations, replied, 'I’d have to look at it and see, because there’s been violations on both sides'; meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov declined to confirm Russia’s agreement, stating only that 'contacts are ongoing,' and offered no verification of adherence to any ceasefire.
