9 Yue 2 2 , China Sinopec and BASF jointly announced that each party holds half of the shares of the joint venture Yangzi Petrochemical - BASF limited liability company (Yangzi Petrochemical - BASF) expanded neopentyl glycol capacity.
Mr.
Dr.

Neopentyl glycol is a unique polyol.
Due to its high chemical and thermal stability, it has outstanding performance in many end applications, especially in the production of polyester and alkyd resins for various coatings and plastics.
It is an important raw material for the production of polyester fiber resin, which is used to produce coatings, unsaturated polyester resins, alkyd resins, lubricants and plasticizers.
BASF has neopentyl glycol production bases in Ludwigshafen (Germany), Freeport (USA), Nanjing (China) and Jilin (China).
