Sumitomo Chemical established a new production and sales base in Chengdu, Sichuan Province in October 2016.

Following the Chengdu plant, Sumitomo Chemical established a Wuxi plant in the fast-growing Central China region.
By building a factory in Wuxi, Sumitomo Chemical will use the broader supply chain and timely response to customers of Chinese automakers and home appliance manufacturers in the region to expand its business.
