Air Liquide to build two new hydrogen production units and equip them with carbon capture technology in Shanghai Chemical Industry Park

According to reports, under a contract of more than 15 years, the new unit will produce hydrogen and carbon monoxide to supply Covestro China and Shanghai Lianheng Isocyanate Co.

The two steam methane reforming hydrogen production units (SMR) will be designed and constructed by Air Liquide Engineering and Manufacturing and are planned to be put into operation in batches, with the first phase to be commissioned by the end of 2023

It is understood that since 1996, Air Liquide has been actively participating in the development and construction of Shanghai Chemical Industry Park
