Lyondell Basell announced the start-up of its fifth polypropylene compounding line in Knapsack, Germa.

With total production capacity reaching a new high of over 200,000 tons per year, LyondellBasell's Knapsack production site in Germany is well-deserved to be the largest polypropylene compounding plant in the wor.

An important field of application for these polypropylene products is lightweight components for automobil.

The material is also attracting attention from OEMs for its lightweight benefits, as the material will help manufacturers meet European Commission requirements by significantly reducing emissions for future mode.

LyondellBasell said the production facility is an important addition to the company's Advanced Polymer Solutions (APS) global busine.
