Arkema opens new 3D Printing Global Center of Excellence in Normandy

On November 15, Arkema opened a new Global Center of Excellence for 3D Printing at its Cerdato R&D center in Serquigny (France), Normandy

Today, Arkema is a leader in high-performance polymer 3D printing

In the group's largest advanced materials research laboratory in Serquigny, Arkema has decided to open a new global center of excellence dedicated to SLS powder laser sintering 3D printing in partnership with the Normandy region

This new platform dedicated to additive manufacturing will help achieve two goals:

Provides space for collaboration between research teams at the centre and for developing innovative products on commercial printers from HP, EOS and Prodways, enabling our partners to translate new applications into 3D printing

Be part of an ecosystem of local industry and training organisations by offering various forms of collaboration

This new global center of excellence for 3D printing will support the accelerated development of the technology as an industrial manufacturing method

On Friday 15th November, the laboratory was officially launched in the presence of Thierry Le Hénaff, Chairman and CEO of Arkema, Hervé Morin, Chairman of the Normandy Region, and numerous customers and local representatives

The Center will help open up new prospects by providing market players with a range of solutions and expertise from identifying needs to industrialization
