China Petrochemical News Network News According to Azerbaijan News Network on May 23, since the Azerbaijan Trans-Adriatic Pipeline was put into operation in early 2021, more than 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas have been sent to Europe.
TAP General Manager Luca Schieppati said: "Four and a half months since the natural gas transportation through TAP, we have transported more than 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas and provided our shippers with safe and reliable transportation services.
TAP is part of the Southern Natural Gas Corridor, a natural gas pipeline project starting in Greece, passing through Albania and the Adriatic, to Italy, and then to Western Europe.
Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov stated that the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline, as another energy link between Azerbaijan and Europe, will strengthen Azerbaijan’s strategic role in energy security, cooperation and sustainable development.
The total length of the pipeline is 878 kilometers, including 550 kilometers in Greece, 215 kilometers in Albania, 105 kilometers offshore, and 8 kilometers in Italy.

TAP transports 2bcm of Azerbaijani natural gas to Europe
Over 2 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani natural gas have been transported to Europe via the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline since the commissioning of pipeline in early 2021.
“After four and a half months since gas flow via TAP started, we transported more than 2 billion cubic meters of gas and provided safe and reliable transmission services to our shippers,” TAP Managing Director Luca Schieppati has said.
TAP is a part of the Southern Gas Corridor and is a pipeline project to transport natural gas, starting from Greece via Albania and the Adriatic Sea to Italy and further to Western Europe.
